NavTools Route XP allows you to plan a seatraject in order
to arrive on schedule with minimal fuel consumption.
To fulfill this purpose, the software will allow you to:
- Calculate average weather conditions and currents (including tidal
currents) for each leg of the voyage
- View statistics of earlier voyages on the same route
- Continuously update your voyage and monitor vessels performance
during the voyage
- Track tropical storms and calculate routes to avoid these storms
- View all details of your intended port of arrival
- Calculate tidal heights and underkeel clearances during the voyage
and on arrival
- View details on vessel traffic information services during the voyage
- View required charts and publications and check whether they are
onboard of your vessel
- Exchange routes, voyage-information, and weather observations with
other vessels or your company office
- and many other handy tools...

Average weather conditions will be calculated for each leg of the
intended voyage or you can enter your own forecasts for each area.

Average current AND tidal currents will be calculated for each leg
of the intended voyage

Previous weather observations on each leg of the voyage can be shown
and will aid you in estimating weather conditions, by exchanging weather
observations with other vessels you can greatly increase available information.

You can use and reuse routes for new voyages, or exchange routes with
other vessels, saving you the trouble of inserting new waypoints.

Courses and distances between waypoints are shown, as well as average
voyage details of previous voyages on the same route.

During the voyage, you can continuously monitor vessels performance.
This data will be used automatically to adjust your schedule for the
remaining voyage.

The 'noon report' option allows you to calculate all details of your
present position, average performance, and remaining voyage.

By calculating a constant engine rpm setting (with groundspeed and
logspeed fluctuating with weather and current on each leg) the software
allows you to spend the least fuel while still remaining exactly on
schedule.
Tidal windows (both on current and under keep clearances) can be calculated
for the whole voyage, or for the entrance into your destination port.

Tidal graphs can be printed as part of your voyage plan.

The software allows you to create checklists and reminders for each
voyage and each destination port. Furthermore, the software will automatically
perform a series of checks on your voyage and remind you of any deficiencies!

Tropical storms can be tracked using this software, and date and distance
of closest approach can be shown, as well as the storm track relative
to the scheduled voyage.
