Track an unlimited number of tropical storms (hurricanes,
typhones, cyclones, etc) and calculate expected wind and sea condition
during your intended voyage as well as relative track of the storm.

Using the main tracking panel you can view your intended
voyage, present position, as well as present position of the tropical
storm and its stormfield.

The software allows you to jump forward or backward in
time and view both your expected position as well as the expected position
of the storm at any moment in past or future.

Using this tracking option you can quickly view the expected
closest diestance of aproach of the storm to your vessels position,
as well as wind and wave conditions during the voyage.

The wave condition option calculates the expected seacondition
as any moment during the voyage and allows you to view your vessels
position relative to wind and waves at any time during the voyage.

The 'risk' page allows you to view the risk of synchronous
as well as parametric rolling, broaching, or flooding at any time during
your intended voyage. The screen shows a 'polair graph' with your vessel
in the center and course and speed from there. For instance in above
example you enter a red high-risk situation when you steer North at
speeds between 6 and 10 knots.

An unlimited number of active tropical storms can be
entered with their estimated positions, course, and speed. The software
will calculate intermediate positions at any moment in time.

An unlimited number of standard routes can be entered
into the software. This data is compatible with all other version 8
NavTools applications and thus can be shared with for instance voyage
planning, monitoring, etc.

Voyage history and details can be entered or shared with
other version 8 navTools applications.

Country's and ports show data shared with other navtools
applications.
One of the big advantages of the NavTools version 8 series
is its shared database, which allows you to use the same data on all
navtools applications. Furthermore, data can be shared with other vessels,
so you can exchange weather and route information between vessels or
send voyage data to the mainoffice.
